I left my first career in fashion and design in order to become a therapist because of the positive impact therapy has had on my life. In 2008, I graduated from Appalachian State University with a Master’s in Community Counseling and an Addictions Certificate. Since then I have worked in residential treatment, as a women’s program counselor in an outpatient program, and a clinical director for an intensive outpatient program for co-occurring disorders.

In 2015 I decided to open a private practice, and Silver Lining Counseling was born. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, Certified Clinical Supervisor for the NC Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board, and am EMDR trained. I have extensive training and experience helping patients manage co-occurring disorders, heal from trauma, and built their self-worth and self-esteem. I look forward to working with you.
