Telehealth Registered Professional Counselor Provider for SC Professional Counselors Board #1737 https://llr.sc.gov/TeleHealth/Counselor.html

Chief Executive Officer and Founder

I view recovery from co-occurring disorders and trauma as a complex puzzle with many different pieces.  My role is to help my clients put the pieces of their puzzle together, support them in healing from trauma, and learn how to manage their symptoms in order to feel better about themselves, achieve their goals and dreams, and most importantly, thrive!  My extensive training and experience working in a psychiatric practice allows me to understand and treat the sometimes complicated intersection of co-occurring disorders and trauma.

I left my first career in architecture and design in order to become a therapist because of the positive impact therapy has had on my life. In 2008, I graduated from Appalachian State University with a Master’s in Community Counseling and an Addictions Certificate. Since then I have worked in various treatment settings such as residential treatment, a women’s program counselor in an intensive outpatient program, and a clinical director for an intensive outpatient program for co-occurring disorders.   During this time I honed my skills, training and experience, and in 2015 I opened Silver Lining Counseling in order to continue to serve clients with co-occurring disorders and trauma.

I am a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, a Certified Clinical Supervisor for the NC Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board, a Qualified Supervisor for the NC LCMHC board, and am EMDR Trained.

Recovery is possible.  I look forward to supporting you on your recovery journey!
