Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I feel anxious all the time even though my life looks fine?
This is very common, especially among professionals, caregivers, and high achievers who have learned how to cope but not how to rest. High-functioning anxiety often shows up as constant worry, overthinking, or perfectionism, even when things look fine from the outside. Therapy can help you understand what's driving it and build a more sustainable way of managing it.
Do you accept insurance?
We're a private pay practice, out of network with insurance companies. We do not file health insurance in order to give our clients more control over their treatment process and the information that is shared about them. Rates start at $160 per session and vary by therapist. We provide a superbill upon request so you can seek reimbursement directly from your insurer.
Is online therapy as effective as in-person therapy?
Many clients find virtual sessions just as effective and just as confidential as meeting in person. We offer virtual therapy for clients located anywhere in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Wisconsin, along with in-person sessions at our Charlotte and Pewaukee, WI offices.
What happens at my first appointment?
Your first appointment focuses on getting to know you: a thoughtful intake process, a therapist who listens without judgment, and building clear, collaborative treatment goals together. Sessions move at your pace and respect your boundaries from day one.
How do I find the right therapist for me?
Fit matters as much as credentials. When you reach out, a member of our team gets in touch to learn about your needs and matches you with the therapist whose specialties and approach fit what you're looking for.
We encourage you to reach out to us directly with any additional questions you may have and we can help walk you through the process.
