What's stopping you from choosing a happy and satisfying life?

Happy Friday!

Yesterday I wrote about how important it is to know what your values are so that you can make decisions that are line with your values which will ultimately lead to happiness and satisfaction. I also included a link to a values worksheet that I created in order to help you identify what your values are and if you are living in line with them. Here’s the link again to that worksheet in case you missed yesterday’s post:

My values worksheet

I’m asking you the question, “What’s your plan to lead a happy and satisfying life?” to help you start to think about what you learned on the values worksheet. Are there certain values that you are not living in line with? Why? What is currently preventing you from living in line with that value?

I’m asking you these questions so that you can develop self-awareness about the decisions you are making. Through self-awareness we can start to make intentional decisions that are in line with our values, which ultimately make us happier and more fulfilled.

Journaling is an excellent way to process through thoughts and feelings so that we can start to make positive changes in our life. So why not start journaling today? If you’ve never journaled before, that is okay, it’s impossible to screw up journaling! As long as it comes from the heart then you can’t go wrong. You don’t have to write a specific amount or talk about certain things. Journaling is a way to get your thoughts and feelings on paper so you can take a look at them from a different perspective. If you need some help with your journaling, I’ve included a link below to another worksheet with some questions about your values to help get you started.
