Are Your Subconscious Beliefs Controlling You?
Are your subconscious beliefs controlling you? Do you make decisions that you are ultimately not happy with? Do you have immediate reactions to things that just don’t make sense? If you answered yes to these questions, your subconscious beliefs may be controlling your behavior. A subconscious belief that I have struggled with that I am very much aware of now, is the belief that I need to be everything to everyone at anytime. When I am not aware that this belief is controlling me, I tend to say “yes” without thinking about my needs, I over schedule myself, and tend to minimize what I need for self care.
The beliefs that affect us the most are the ones that have been around the longest. The beliefs that we formed about our self in childhood are the ones that usually affect us the most, and trigger the strongest reactions. So how do you know what you subconscious beliefs are? If you have anxiety or depression, then I would start there. When you feel anxious or depressed, do you notice negative thoughts about self?
