Personalized, Evidence-Based Therapy in Charlotte

Finding the right therapist matters, and it shouldn't feel like a guessing game. At Silver Lining Counseling, our SouthPark-area office serves adults across Charlotte who are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, substance use, and the everyday weight of holding it all together.

Areas We Help With

Every client's reasons for starting therapy are different, and our team's specialties reflect that range:

  • Anxiety, overthinking, and chronic worry including high-functioning anxiety that doesn't always look like anxiety from the outside.
  • Depression and low motivation whether it's a recent shift or something you've been carrying for years.
  • Stress and burnout for adults who feel like rest alone isn't fixing the exhaustion.
  • Trauma and PTSD using trauma-informed and EMDR-based approaches to help you process what happened, not just manage the symptoms.
  • Substance use and coping patterns approached without judgment or labeling.
  • Eating disorders and body image support for disordered eating, body image distress, and food preoccupation.
  • Relationship and family challenges, including support for spouses, parents, and family members impacted by a loved one's struggles.

Whatever brings you in, we're here to help you find your footing again.

At Silver Lining, We Understand What You Need

Clients choose us because:

We Tailor Therapy to You. No two people carry the same story, so we build your treatment around your specific experience, not a script.

Trauma-Informed, Every Session. Whatever you're working through, our therapists prioritize emotional safety and collaboration over quick fixes.

Real Experience with Co-Occurring Concerns. Anxiety, trauma, substance use, and depression rarely show up alone, and we're experts at treating the overlap so you get the right support you need.

Change That Lasts. We help clients build the self-understanding and skills that hold up long after therapy ends.

In-Person & Virtual Therapy in Charlotte, NC

Silver Lining Counseling offers in-person therapy at our SouthPark-area office in Charlotte, NC, as well as virtual therapy for clients located anywhere in North Carolina or South Carolina. Many clients find virtual sessions just as effective as meeting in person, and just as confidential, while others prefer the structure of coming into the office. Both options are fully supported.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I need a therapist?

If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or like something isn't quite right, even if you can't name exactly what, that's enough reason to reach out. You don't have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy.

How do I choose the right therapist?

Fit matters as much as credentials. We encourage you to schedule a free consultation so you can get a feel for whether a therapist's style and approach feel right for you before committing.

What does a session cost, and do you take insurance?

We're a private pay practice, out of network with insurance companies. We do not file health insurance in order to give our clients more control over their treatment process and the information that is shared about them. Rates start at $160 per session and vary by therapist. We provide a superbill upon request so you can seek reimbursement directly from your insurer.

What happens in a first session?

Your first session is focused on understanding your specific experience, not filling out a checklist. Your therapist will ask questions, listen, and start building a picture of what brought you in and where you want to go. It's collaborative and paced to you, not a predetermined script.

How do I get started?

We make getting started easy, simply complete one of the brief contact forms linked on this page and our Intake Team will reach out to you to answer any questions you may have and set up a Free Consultation. Inquiries received by 3pm on business days are responded to the same day - no long waits, no pressure.
